Do you experience obscure record locking messages?

If you're using a Microsoft Access database you're probably experiencing records locks and annoying messages stating that somebody else has edited the record you are currently looking at. That doesn't happen with CARM and you can update your carer records safe in the knowledge that your changes will be saved.

Do you wish that all of your carer data could be accessed from a single form and printout?

When we've talked to centres about their existing systems we hear the same complaints again and again; that there are so many screens that staff get lost, can't figure out how data is related and in many cases just don't bother anymore. CARM displays all carer related data on the one screen for easy access and comes with a couple of printable summary reports for home visits or your paper records.

Are you struggling to get the statistics out of your current system even though you keep entering the data in?

Years of work has been put into the bespoke reporting tools. You can query your own data in just about any way imaginable and then save your filters/queries. Furthermore, filters can be combined, applied to standard reports (such as ethnicity, age range....) and even added onto periodic reports meaning that once they're setup they're always setup.

Do you trust your data?

We will work closely with your organisation to ensure that CARM is used consistently and encourage users to feedback through out online forums. Maintaining confidence in CARM is the most important factor as the only reason you wouldn't trust your data is if staff weren't updating it.

Are you struggling to keep duplicated data under control?

With CARM there is absolutely no reason or excuse for duplicating data anywhere. The data can be accessed from anywhere and is stored on the server. Data can be extracted at will and our philisophy is that if a centre is duplicating data then we should identify why and, if possible, incorporate the function into CARM for the benefit of all.

Do you wish that information was shared more effectively within your organisation?

Not only are most carer centres quite different and unused to cooperation but many teams with the centres have different systems and procedures. Our aim is to unite teams, share functionality and talk with each other. For example; what proportion of young carers end up being adult carers?
